Curious Kids' Museum Exhibits
New Exhibit to Curious Kids' Museum-"Good Vibrations- Musicology for Kids" Exhibit
It has been said that "Music makes the world go 'round." Music lifts sick or sad people into a healthy or soothing place. The new "Good Vibrations- Musicology for Kids" exhibit will make music come alive for children. Engaging educational objectives for the new exhibit include: Making your own Music with kids trying out musical instruments in the drum room, on the digital piano, and with the Instrument Petting Zoo on the mobile cart. Learn the physics of sound: discover that sound is created by vibrations by laying on the Giant Bass Tongue Drum, play the Theremin, explore the lissajous and the oscilloscope. "Be the Conductor" and learn about tempo and volume. Curious Kids' Museum has partnered with the Citadel Music Center and members of the Southwest Michigan Symphony Board of Directors. This wonderful new Music Exhibit is made possible by The Frederick S. Upton Foundation, The Berrien Community Foundation, The Runyon Family and Friends of Curious Kids.

Exhibition Philosophy
The Curious Kids' Museum's exhibition philosophy is derived from the mission statement and is inherent in the guidelines to develop exhibits. These guidelines state:
- Exhibits should be interactive; actively engaging visitors' interest and encouraging participatory learning.
- Exhibits must convey a better understanding of the principle through multiple examples of important ideas.
- Exhibits should be self-explanatory and provide immediate feedback to the user.
- Exhibits should appeal to a wide age range and be accessible to young children and the handicapped.
- Exhibits should provide unique experiences and make clearly evident what is happening, dispelling the notion of "magic."
- Exhibits must be designed for constant handling and kept in working order at all times.
- Exhibits will be designed, whenever possible, so that they can be dismantled, easily transported and stored for future use or loan.
- Workshops, promotional materials, signage, and publicity will be simultaneously developed to support new exhibit topics.
- Exhibits will be continually evaluated, augmented, and improved to assure visitor appeal.
- The main theme of exhibits will focus on science and technology, history, culture, and/or human perception.
*Exhibits are always changing with a mix of new displays and old favorites.
