MEDIA MANIA
In partnership with The Herald Palladium, WNDU Television, and WSJM, Mid-West Family Broadcasting, The Curious Kids' Museum announces a brand new exhibit called MEDIA MANIA. Imagine that you are the evening news Television anchor—haven't you always wanted to announce the news, the sports and especially the weather? Imagine you are a newspaper reporter getting the scoop on the latest mystery in town. Or perhaps you're more the radio DJ type, announce fun activities around town as you intro into a real, full length well known music track. Kids and their families will be able to practice these fun, life skills and much more with real media technology.
MEDIA MANIA features a variety of fun learning and skill-building exhibit activities for kids from age 1 to 100. Goals: Learn to write the news, Practice your broadcast presentation, Past to Present to the Future—what is in store for the media now? Here is a preview of what's in store for visitors:
- Write your own newspaper headlines with the new magnet puzzle board-Your News??
- Be the Television Anchor, announcing the evening new, sports, weather, special interviews...
- You are on the air in radio/the latest around town, host your own talk show, what's new in toys?
- In the WSJM, Mid-West Family Broadcasting booth, use the live microphones to hear your voice.
- In the WNDU-TV booth, produce the show, change the TV coverage, pull up weather maps.
- Create your own front page of the newspaper—about you, your friends, the county and world with the new PageMaker Software and learn how newspaper printing works today.
- Make headlines the old fashioned way with inking stamps.
- You are on TV—use the video mixing board to shift to a new scene or WNDU-TV ad logo

old favorites.
