RAINFOREST DISCOVERY ROOM INCLUDES LIVE ANIMALS!

This new exhibit includes bug terrariums with live insects naturally found in the Rain Forest such as hissing cockroaches and giant millipedes. The exhibit also includes a Gorilla Research Hut, an animatronics system with animals on the wall, Rain Forest puppets, a giant tree with artificial insects, and a microscope center with rain forest items to examine. To enhance learning about the Rain Forest, it also features a Discovery box with “Things of the Rain Forest,” with some hands-on items, and Rain Forest costumes of some of the native animals. The exhibit also addresses the preservation of Rain Forests through hands-on learning activities.
