Wee Discover is a special Early Childhood Development program offered every Wednesday morning throughout the school year at Curious Kids' Museum. Wee Discover features a pre-school story and hands-on science fun make-and-take to help kids ages 2-5 discover the world around them and develop a love of reading and creativity.

                   Curious Kids' Museum/Discovery Zone may close all day, early or possibly open delayed on inclement weather days. We want you and you little ones safe. If visibility is low due to snow and blowing conditions and/or roads are icy, please call the Museum before trekking out. Your safety is our first priority. :)

Nov. 11   Native Americans Some Native Americans traveled by foot, by horse and by canoe. Join us as we explore some of the ways they used transportation. 

Nov. 18   Pictograph To Native Americans, a symbol was a way of com-municating beliefs. Pictographic designs were applied to their horses, bodies, homes, arts and crafts. Symbols varied by tribe, enabling individuals to communicate and a tribe to record its history.

Would you like to learn how to write secret notes to your friends? Stop in and make your own decoder.

March 3   Can You Hear Mermaids Singing
Hold a shell up to your ear – what do you hear? It is said you can hear the ocean (or if you stretch your imagination, mermaids!) Join us to see what the shells are saying to you!

March 10   Shades of Color
Take the shady challenge. Look at all the red crayons and put them in line starting with the lightest red to the darkest. Make a chart, take it home find clothes, food or toys that match your color chart.

March 24   Detective For a Day
A dectective’s job is hard to do, snooping around to find a clue. A magnifier helps to spy. What isn’t seen with the naked eye…make a finger print picture!

 WEE DISCOVER FOR THE LITTLE ONES!

Offered Wednesday mornings during the school year -except Christmas and Spring Breaks.

Wee Discover is held Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. at Curious Kids’ Museum for preschoolers based on the concepts of “Mother Goose Science” for young children. The program helps children discover the world around them by linking reading a different story each week with hands-on learning play experiences about different themes. Children exercise body motion, hand-eye coordination, and grasp how the many things in the world around us really work by experiencing them. Parents enjoy sharing this experience with their children and meeting other parents. These fun programs are free with memberships or paid admission. Wee Discover is not held during Christmas Vacation or Spring Break. Free with CKM admission or Membership.        Wee Discover will take abreak during Christmas Vacation (December 27, 2017 and Jan 3, 2018) and resume on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
